Child Labour

At least two million children aged 5 to 17 are engaged in child labour, the first Child Labour report released by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) reveals.

According to the report child labor is among the major causes of child abuse and exploitation.
These children vend a wide range of goods ranging from food stuff like maize, yellow bananas and the sort, most of them operating from the metro area of Kampala. A lot of them walking the streets till late in the night as the only condition is to go back home after selling out the commodities.

And Sande Jagenda Mugerwa is one of them. He is in Class 2 and goes to Child Care Primary School at Kalerwe, a re-known suburban area in Kampala.
